The Honey Hive had a chance to interview Nico Loebus, UVM midfielder.
Honey Hive: What has been your favorite moment in your soccer career at UVM?
Loebus: “I would have to say my favorite moment so far was when we won the America East Championship vs Bryant 2:0 on November 16, 2025.”
Honey Hive: If you could give advice to young soccer players, what would it be?
Loebus: “Believe in yourself. When I was younger, I lacked confidence on the pitch. What helped was telling myself that I am equally as good, if not better, than these players or teams, and that I am deserving of my current position.”
Honey Hive: When did you start playing soccer?
Loebus: “I started soccer at the age of 5.”
Honey Hive: What do you do in your free time?
Loebus: “In my free time, I like to play tennis. I grew up playing tennis, so being able to play the sport when I have some free time always makes me happy.”
UVM men’s soccer is sadly out, but they’ll be back next year!
