Every year EHS’s theater department puts on three shows. As the year is coming to a close, EHS’s theater department still has one musical left: the student directed musical, FROZEN (kids).
This year’s student-directed production of FROZEN (kids) is directed by senior Ava Kreiter and junior Claire Silva. The choreographers are senior Jessalyn Johnson and junior Emma Paradee. The music director is junior Aiden Welkar.
With one week left until opening night, everyone aiding in production is working hard to put on an amazing show.

The role of Elsa is played by freshman Addison Howatt. She emphasized how much work goes into making the show come to life.
“Everyone is working beyond belief to make this whole play the best,” Howatt said. “The students and staff are amazing and rehearsals are super fun!”
The role of Olaf is played by freshman Izzy Kahn. She has been involved in theater for four years.
“I love the full group numbers,” Kahn said. “I really like working with the full cast, we’re like a family!”
Theater isn’t all fun and games, though. There is a lot of stress on the directors and actors.
Kahn is feeling the pressure as opening night draws closer.
“We haven’t had a lot of time to work on the show,” Kahn said. “I think it can be hard for people to lock in.”
Kahn is excited for the first show, which will be watched by kids from different elementary schools in the district.
“I’m most excited to see all the kids and their reactions,” Kahn said.

Howatt is excited to see how the audience reacts, along with saying a final goodbye to the seniors.
“I’m most excited to see a full house and everyone’s excitement!” Howatt said. “Also, saying goodbye to the seniors that are running the show.”
Everyone is invited to come see FROZEN (kids) in the EHS auditorium Thursday, May 21 at 6pm; Friday, May 22 at 6pm; Saturday, May 23 at 1pm. Tickets are by donation, but the recommended donation is $5.
