The Halloween Hustle is an EJRP event at Maple Street Park that started in 2017. The Halloween Hustle is a 5k run (3.2 miles) where people run in costumes. This year, 75 people participated in the race, and 68 people finished it. The race happened on Saturday, October 25th, at 10:00 in the morning and ended around 11:30 am. The top three finishers for the race were Tim Richmond, Will Gochberg, and Chelsea Alsofrom.
A student at ADL, Hudson Sawyer, who got 37th place, dressed up as Taco Bell hot sauce and said, “You don’t have to try to be a winner.”
Jennifer and Peter Johnson, who got 21st and 22nd place overall, ran with their child. Jennifer said, “Thanks to the organizers for making this happen.”
William Custer who dressed up as McDonald’s Fries, got 1st place for his age group and got the Hustlers award. He said he was there to run and have fun. He also said, “It doesn’t matter if you’re first or last as long as you have fun.”
So when this happens next year, get a costume, and come on down to Maple Street Park for the Halloween Hustle!
