Freshman Ollie Laverty said his favorite Thanksgiving food is “probably butter.”

Laverty spends Thanksgiving at his grandparents ‘ house, and they all go on a walk down the road every year.
But Laverty isn’t the only one with Thanksgiving traditions.
Ava and Katelyn Conti spend Thanksgiving together with their extended Vermont family. They do coloring sheets, arts and crafts, and watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on TV.
Katelyn Conti said she enjoys eating the stuffing the most, while Ava Conti prefers a good homemade roll. These cousins see each other inside and outside of school, and they still love the company of one another.
“I like spending time with my family,” Ava Conti said. Both girls enjoy getting the chance to see their family.

Simran Chhetri celebrates with eating tons of different Indian food, such as chicken dumplings and a variety of different curries. “I love to eat,” Chhetri said.
Juniors Grace Cutler, Eva Selicaro, and Jonah Paquette have different experiences on Thanksgiving.
Cutler gets together with her close family and enjoys eating rolls along with seeing everybody. “We do the wishbone thing sometimes,” Cutler said. A family tradition.
Eva Selicaro is surrounded by cousins, grandparents, and close family on Thanksgiving. Selicaro’s favorite thing about this holiday is “the food.” Her favorite food to eat on Thanksgiving is stuffing.

Jonah Paquette does things a little differently. When asked what his favorite Thanksgiving food to eat was, his typical dinner consists not of turkey and gravy. “Well we do steak, mashed potatoes, and stuff so probably steak,” Paquette said. Along with his family saying grace at the table as a tradition, “being with the people I love” is his favorite part of Thanksgiving.

Junior Emily Dall has some exciting Thanksgiving plans. Dall spends Thanksgiving with her entire extended family at her grandparents’ lake house. Her favorite part about Thanksgiving, besides the cranberry sauce, is to have the company of her family. “Seeing everyone because I live near family, but I don’t see them that often,” Dall said.
Friends Kian Eklof and Wyatt Gilbert both spend Thanksgiving break in completely different ways.

“My (close family) and I go out of the country every year for Thanksgiving. Usually somewhere tropical,” Eklof said. This year they are going to Aruba. “Spending time with loved ones, and sharing new memories with each other since last Thanksgiving” is his favorite part about the holiday.
Wyatt Gilbert goes to his grandparents’ house every year as a tradition. Thanksgiving is spent with his close family. Gilbert’s favorite part of the holiday is “the food.” Specifically, his favorite, cranberry sauce.

Senior Julian Ercole also celebrates Thanksgiving with his close family at his grandparents’. His favorite thing about the holiday is “food one-hundred percent.” His favorite is the key lime pie. Another tradition at the Ercole’s is to also keep some leftovers. “We always leave a certain amount of turkey for the dogs.”
Sophomore Niko Naan enjoys being with his family. One tradition is “hide and seek with my cousins.” Being around the table surrounded by loved ones is perfect for Nann and he gets to eat his favorite Thanksgiving food, cranberry sauce.
