Charlotte Case Boutique is a locally owned shop in Essex, offering modern, classy clothing with a personal touch. It’s co-owned and managed by two sisters, Anna and Mallory Charland, who are EHS graduates. The boutique offers classy and modern day clothing with a focus on quality, versatility, and affordability.
The idea for their boutique came from their desire to fill a void in Vermont’s shopping scene. “We saw a need for more approachable, affordable, and high-quality shopping in Vermont,” the sisters explained. “We wanted a place where people could touch, try on, and really experience pieces—something that’s harder to find with so much shopping happening online.”

Charlotte Case also holds a personal sentiment for the girls and is named in honor of their grandmother, who passed away from cancer.
“We wanted to create a space that reflects her love and kindness,” Anna said. It’s meaningful to us that our business can support cancer research in her memory.”
Charlotte Case isn’t just your average boutique. Each week, the boutique switches out its pieces, keeping its styles fresh and exciting. From sales to giveaways, the boutique emphasizes community and connection.
“We truly value creating a welcoming, inclusive space,” Anna said. “We want everyone who walks in to feel seen, supported, and confident, whether they’re shopping for themselves or finding a gift for someone else.”
The boutique’s collections focus on timeless and versatile pieces that can be styled in many different ways.
“We love neutrals because they’re classic, easy to mix and match, and form the foundation of a wardrobe that can grow with someone over time,” Anna said. “We also enjoy adding in pops of color, playful patterns, and a few trend-forward items; things that feel fun and fresh, but still versatile.”
The sisters want everyone to know that affordability without losing the quality of the clothes is very important for Charlotte Case.
“We’re committed to fair, reasonable pricing, and we hope to inspire confidence and joy in every customer,” Anna said.
For Anna and Mallory, the best part about running Charlotte Case is the people.
“Being part of this community, meeting new customers, and helping them find pieces that make them feel amazing is such a joyful moment,” Anna said. “Our community’s support makes this experience so much fun, and it’s been incredible to grow alongside them [customers].”
