Fine Arts Night Returns

On April 19, Fine Arts Night was held at Essex High School. After four years of the event being canceled due to both COVID and weather restrictions, schools across the community were able to join together to celebrate the arts.

Live music was available in the EHS gym; students from across all grades joined together in the gymnasium to sing as one large chorus, singing songs that they had practiced in class or in chorus. They were led by EHS’s choral director, Alexis Koch, and ADL music teacher, Matt Torez.

Before the chorus performed, band and orchestra members from grades 4-12 performed numerous pieces together in the gym for parents and community members to listen to.

Outside of the live performances, there were a variety of pieces including paintings, drawings, photos, and sculptures from grades K-12 that filled the EHS library and halls.
