Thanksgiving break is quickly approaching, and The Hive collected data on what EHS students will be doing during the break.
48.2 percent of the community is headed somewhere on vacation to places like Aruba, Maine, Ohio, Massachusetts and New York.
“’I’m going to Massachusetts this year for Thanksgiving. I’m going to my cousin’s house with my mom’s side of the family,” freshman Mia Gorman said. “I am really excited and it should be tons of fun!”
This holiday season if you are looking for a stuffing recipe ask around EHS because they certainly love it. If you are interested try out a recipe from How Sweet- eats. Earning its place as EHS’s favorite Thanksgiving dish, stuffing is often comprised of bread, butter and vegetables for a delicious side. This is accompanied by runners-up pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and of course turkey.
“Pumpkin pie is my favorite Thanksgiving food because it tastes great, and I usually make it with my grandma,” freshman Miles Warrington said. “It’s one of my favorite things to do with my grandma and makes it even more special because I don’t see her often.”
With 98 responses, EHS celebrates with lots of big family dinners, turkey trots and watching the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Colleen Sonnick shared her favorite family tradition.
“We normally have a big party this time of year with our family and eat a lot of food,” she said. “Also after Thanksgiving dinner, we are finally allowed to listen to Christmas music. We also always watch Home Alone on Thanksgiving night.”
This break will be filled with travel, home-cooked meals and traditions in store.
